Maarten De Vos has a joint appointment as Research Professor in the Departments of Engineering and Medicine at KU Leuven. His academic work focuses on AI for healthcare monitoring and daily-life biomedical monitoring. He is renowned for deriving personalized biosignatures of patient health and incorporating smart analytics into wearable sensors.

Elisabeth Heremans is a PhD student at KU Leuven under the supervision of Maarten De Vos. She was awarded a competitive strategic basic research grant by the Research Foundation – Flanders for her PhD research on automated sleep analysis from EEG signals recorded with wearable monitoring devices

Nick Seeuws is pursuing a PhD degree in electrical engineering at KU Leuven under the supervision of Alexander Bertrand and Maarten De Vos. His research interests are machine learning, signal processing, and biomedical engineering.
Huy Phan | Senior Research Scientist

Huy Phan is a Senior Research Scientist at Amazon Alexa since January 2023. Before this, he was a Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence at Queen Mary University of London, and Turing Fellow at the Alan Turing Institute. His research interests include machine learning and signal processing for audio and biosignal analysis. He has (co-)authored more than 20 papers on EEG signal processing, particularly EEG-based automatic sleep staging.
Alexandre Gramfort | Senior Research Scientist

Alexandre Gramfort is currently research scientist at Meta Reality Labs. He was previously senior research scientist (DR, HDR) at Inria Université Paris-Saclay, leading the MIND Team. His work is on machine learning, signal processing, optimization, scientific computing and software engineering, applied to biosignals and in particular brain imaging data (MEG, EEG, fMRI).
